Makoto Zenfukuji

Makoto Zenfukuji is a Japanese bonsai and bonsai pot artist specializing in miniature bonsai (豆盆栽) and handmade bonsai pots. They began studying pottery in 2009 under the late Sosaku Munakata and simultaneously learned miniature bonsai from Kenzo Tsuchiya. They serve as a standing director of the Japan Miniature Bonsai Association and previously headed its Tokyo branch. Their bonsai technique emphasizes traditional 'scissor-making' (はさみ作り), avoiding wire shaping. Their online presence focuses on showcasing their artistic process, finished works, and expertise in miniature bonsai cultivation and ceramic pot creation.
